Enter createButtons.vbs – this is a simple utility (or rather a script) that will automatically add Shut Down and other related buttons to your Windows 8 screen. There’s no installation required – just download the file to your desktop and double-click to create the various buttons.

4Chan Image Downloader is such a program. The software, available for the Windows operating system, lets you download all images from a 4Chan thread and monitor that thread for new images after all of the images have been downloaded to the computer.
A Zip/compression program is an essential fixture on any computer. There are so many excellent free compression apps that I am always astounded when someone asks me if there is a good ‘Winzip’ alternative out there. But the real question is: which is the BEST free compression/archiving program available. We set out to test what we thought to be the best free compression programs in a head-to-head QUANTITATIVE comparison, where we collected actual compression and extraction data on different system. We also took other, qualitative aspects into consideration, such as the features, the appeal of the interface, etc. What we’ve found: three programs are in a league of their own; HaoZip, 7Zip, and PeaZip. Our preference for these is in that order, respectively.
If Internet Explorer is your default web browser, or if you are sometimes using the browser on your system, you may come into a situation where the browser is not working properly anymore. Sin duda Dropbox marcó un antes y un después en cuanto al almacenamiento de archivos, tanto que decenas de servicios se han creado para sacarle el máximo provecho a sus funcionalidades en la nube. Francisco había creado con anterioridad un interesante listado con algunos ejemplos, hacks y plugins, y ya hemos comentado decenas de aplicaciones relacionadas con Dropbox, pero gracias a Labnol -más uno que otro apunte en Evernote-, están aquí otros 10 servicios y aplicaciones que mejorarán aún más nuestra experiencia de usuarios.
Un ejemplo de esto puede darse al copiar tandas de fotografías de nuestra cámara o móvil, al descargar archivos de Internet o, simplemente, al no tener tiempo para ponerse a clasificar archivos.
